Terms of service
Last updated October 7, 2026
These terms apply to merchants who install Mint Scan to Pack ("the app"), made by Mint Labs ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
The service
The app is a packing station: it shows your store's unfulfilled orders and their items, checks each scanned item against the order, records the result on the order (app metafields), saves packed-box photos to your Shopify Files and, when your staff ask for it, marks orders as fulfilled in Shopify. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a paid feature you rely on without notice.
Your responsibilities
The check is only as good as your product data: keep barcodes and SKUs accurate in Shopify. Items confirmed by hand and missing items are recorded as your staff enter them. You decide who receives station device links and are responsible for sharing them only with your packing team; replace or switch off a link if it may have been shared further. Fulfillments the app creates at your staff's request are your store's fulfillments under Shopify's terms.
Billing
Plans are chosen on Shopify's plan page and billed by Shopify every 30 days in USD after the free trial. You can change or cancel at any time on that page or by uninstalling the app. The free plan never turns into a paid plan by itself. Charges are handled entirely by Shopify under Shopify's terms.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the app available, accurate and secure, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 3 months before a claim.
Data processing addendum
When the app processes personal data on your behalf, you are the controller and we are the processor. We will:
- process personal data only to provide the app's features, following your instructions given through the app's settings;
- process only the minimum data needed: the app keeps order IDs and numbers with the items packed and the packer names your staff type; it never requests or stores customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses or customer IDs;
- never sell personal data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models;
- keep it confidential and limit access to authorised personnel;
- encrypt it in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (Cloudflare D1 encryption at rest);
- use Cloudflare (hosting and database) and Shopify as our only sub-processors;
- delete packing records older than 13 months, delete the packing records of the orders named in an erasure request, and delete all store data after uninstall (shop redaction);
- help you respond to data subject requests and notify you without undue delay of any personal data breach.
Changes
We will post changes to these terms here and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
